Tamasheq
Tamasheq is based in Cairo, Egypt. Long before this venture started, our love for Tuareg and tribal jewellery began in the land of South East Asia and that was the beginning of it all.
From Bangladesh, to Pakistan, then to North Africa, precisely in Algeria, the horizon widened and we came across beautiful pieces of silver and metal jewellery. Without being aware of it all, we fell in love with such type of jewellery since then. From personal collection, the idea of sharing the beauty came into our thoughts.
We were determined to bring to you these beautiful pieces of handmade jewellery with all its mysticism and exoticism. Enlighten yourself with intricate work of craftsmanship. See what we saw, as each piece has a story to tell. From the best artisans in the Tuareg tribes we introduce to you Tamasheq, Tuareg & Tribal Jewellery.
Tamasheq means Amazigh in the Tuareg language. The Tuaregs actually call themselves ‘Kel Tamasheq’, meaning, The People of The Amazigh.
